Baking has always been a love of mine. Years ago I decided to take the plunge and head to Vancouvers Island University for the Professional Baking Program. I quickly fell even more in love with baking and it was clear that this was where I belonged. I finished a 3 year apprenticeship at a local hotel chain where I absorbed as much as I could and loved every second of it. Soon realizing that I wanted to branch out on my own and try something new.
It was here that I started Cakes by Colleen. I wanted to help people create memories. Whether that be Valentines Day, Mothers Day, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings or Baby Showers, I wanted to take things off other peoples plate to allow them to spend more time with the people they loved. I love getting to be just a small part of peoples most important days. Let me bring your vision to life.
